"Alex 2"

May 2017 I first joined the German sail training barque "ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT II" as chief mate for a voyage from Havana / Cuba to Freeport /Bahamas and back to Havana. That is where most of the photos origine from. The other pics origin from trips around the Canary Islands as well as in the Baltic and North Sea in 2018 to 2021. The "Alex 2" - as she is called by her crew - is a new built ship, purpose built for sail training. She is sailed by an all volunteer crew and can accommodate up to 75 persons.
