T/S "ATLANTIS"
The
photos were made during
my time as deck hand on "ATLANTIS" in Summer 2004 in the Mediterranean
Sea. The ship then belonged to the German company Meyer-zur-Heyde, but
was sold one year later. She is a charter sailing vessel which was
converted from a light vessel. The hull origins from 1905. By rigging
she is a staysail barkentine. I sailed with her from Valencia to Malaga
as a deck hand. Signed off in Malaga to join another ship of the same
company, the "MARY ANNE".
