"JEAN DE
LA LUNE"
transiting the Caledonian Canal
The photos were taken
during a
Caledonian Canal passage in May 2005. I was the bosun then. The ship
had been laid up during winter in Leith where I joined in March to get
her shipshape for the summer season. After 6 weeks of intensive sanding
and painting we delivered her to West Coast of Scotland to start tours
with passengers there. I left the ship shortly afterwards due to
differences with the owner who was also the skipper. By the end of the
summer she returned to Leith and was laid up again and was put up for
sale. It lasted about 10 years until she found a new owner who now
operates her in the Canary Inslands.
